Program Eligibility Guidelines

Requirements & Documentation Criteria

Eligible Student Categories

Undergraduate & Trade School
Enrolled Full-Time or Half-Time based on the standards of an accredited Four-Year College/University, Junior College, Community College, or vocational Trade School.
Graduate Students
Actively enrolled in an accredited Graduate School program according to institutional specifications.
Recent Alumni / Graduates
Graduated from a qualifying accredited institution within the past 24 months (2 years) from the date of graduation.
High School Seniors / Incoming Freshmen
Completed all graduation requirements with an anticipated or future graduation date, and can provide an official Letter of Intent to attend an approved university.
Interns, Apprentices & Residents
Active participants in College Student Internships, Trade School Apprenticeships, or Medical Student Residencies who are currently attending or scheduled to begin next semester.

Ineligible Student Categories

  • Students enrolled less than half-time based on institutional specifications.
  • Single-course completion certificates.
  • On-the-job training and continuing education courses (e.g., sales training, teaching certificates, professional designations, and adult education).
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) courses.

Proof of Eligibility & Verification

Mandatory Requirement: The applicant’s full name and the complete name of the academic institution must be original, unaltered components of the submitted documentation.
Military Service Status & Accepted Documents
Active Duty Service Members
Leave & Earnings Statement (LES), Enlisted Record Brief (ERB) / Officer Record Brief (ORB), or an active Enlistment Contract.
Veterans
DD214 (Discharge Details), NGB Form 22 (National Guard), Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC), Veteran Identification Card (VIC), or a state-issued Driver’s License/ID with a VETERAN endorsement.
Retirees
Retiree Account Statement (eRAS), DD214, or NGB Form 22 (documentation must explicitly verify either 20 years of active service or that retirement was the reason for discharge).
Surviving Spouses & Dependents
Any qualifying military document listed in the categories above belonging to the service member. Surviving Spouses may additionally submit an official Casualty Report (DD Form 1300).
